About Fleur de Sel Cottage in Brixham

Fleur de Sel cottage was built circa 1830. We have records of one of the first families to reside here. John Hardy lived in the cottage in 1837. John was an apprentice to Master Richard Hampson. Later, in 1859, John Gifford and his wife Mary lived here. John was a fisherman, as you might expect!

The house is rich with memories and has been meticulously refurbished to the highest standard by Hervé & Nathalie REGENT, the owners of Beacon House B&B, located just 3 minutes away. The cottage features two bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a king-size bed, both offering en-suite facilities. The bedrooms are situated on the ground and first floors, while the kitchen, dining area, and lounge are located on the top floor. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the harbor entrance through a large 2m by 3m glass dormer window. At the back of the cottage, there is a charming little garden with a high table and four stools.
